There is no weather, no seasons. There is only (rarely) normal or bad weather, there is never nice weather. It always rains, the sky is grey, air is dirty and polluted. There are no 'normal' people. Too many bumps, and eurocrats. The city has no 'genius loci' it is soul-less, spirit-less. Its simply dead. It has the worst service-culture I have ever experienced. Nobody cares and nobody really works. Everybody always protest against something, but nobody does anything to improve the situation.

Brussels got a lot to offer, and the inhabitants are great and welcoming. I now live in London but i am from Brussels, and they are both great cities.

Brussels sucks, and not only because of the weather. The infrastructures are old, sidewalks can kill you if you do not look carefully where you step, traffic is the worst thing I have ever seen and traffic jams are just everywhere, every time. Garbage service is working at rush hour in the morning, making traffic even more difficult, not to say they pick up garbage bags directly from the street, not from a container. Bike line is the best thing to use to commit suicide. There is NO BIKE LINE. People are 85% expats and they only care about making good money and leave not wanting to improve anything. Night life sucks, the waiters at club are rude and pathetic and drinks are overpriced. I will fuck off, that is clear,as soon as possible!! Did you have enough?
I left three years ago :) Not looking back once... There are other places where life is much more enjoyable, its not worth the money to suffer.
From the US. The other day I wanted to pay my mobile bill online. I guess you can't do that here. I thought it was 2013. I kinda accidentally trapped myself here after doing some good things for clients/gov't. Now unfortunately I'm worth more in Brxl than anywhere else. Now waiting for the day I have my business here on auto pilot and can leave. I hope in the next 3 months.
